The aim of the scholarship application is to encourage excellence in graduate studies at publicly-assisted universities in Ontario. The Canadian government funds the 2\/3rd of the scholarship award and the university contributes the remaining 1\/3rd award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/universities\/university-of-waterloo-uwaterloo\/\">University of Waterloo<\/a><\/strong> considers students for the award using one application form. The\u00a0 Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) is available for all disciplines of academic study. Moreover, the scholarship is open to Canadian citizens and international students. Masters students can receive the scholarship for a duration of 2 academic years and doctoral students can receive the same for 4 years. International students must meet the eligibility requirements for their application consideration<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The international students must hold a study permit under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada)\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additionally, the student must have must have achieved a first-class average (minimum of A-\/80%), in each of the last 2 completed years of study\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moreover, the international applicant must have received admission to a graduate program at the University of Waterloo. Applicants on an approved leave of absence\/inactive term by February 1, 2024, are eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ontario-graduate-scholarship-benefits\"><span id=\"ontario-graduate-scholarship-benefits\">Ontario Graduate Scholarship Benefits\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each OGS scholarship\u2019s maximum amount is $15,000 per year\/INR 9. 12 lakh. The award is paid as $5,000 per term\/INR 3.04 lakh for either two or three terms. Moreover, the duration of the scholarship is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Master\u2019s students can receive the OGC scholarship for 2 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The doctoral students can receive the OGC scholarship for 4 academic years\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, the beneficiaries cannot exceed the scholarship for more than 6 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGC) selection criteria is based on the academic performance of the students, leadership skills, communication skills, and the research ability of the student.
