He was a retired professor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/universities\/pennsylvania-state-university-penn-state\/\"><strong>Pennsylvania State University<\/strong><\/a> and a research professor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/universities\/university-at-buffalo-suny\/\"><strong>University of Buffalo<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao revolutionized the field of statistics at his age and has worked for 75 years to contribute towards groundbreaking research in maths and statistics. His research has contributed to the development of estimation theory, differential geometry and multivariate analysis.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His educational background is exceptional to look at and speaks volumes about his profound interest in his chosen career path. He then pursued an <strong>MSc in mathematics<\/strong> from Andhra University. His quest for knowledge kept him looking for more and so in 1943 he attained an <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/learn\/ma-statistics\/\"><strong>MA in statistics<\/strong><\/a> from Calcutta University.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Rao had a deep connection with research and learning, therefore, he let on to achieve a <strong>PhD<\/strong> at King\u2019s College in Cambridge in the <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/study-locations\/study-in-uk\/\"><strong>UK<\/strong><\/a>. The research facilities and knowledge that were firing his passion became a torch for many.
