There are countries that do not have an Independence Day of their own but, if you are an international student<\/strong> in one of these countries you can most like celebrate the 15th of August without any hassle. United Kingdom<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Surprised? But isn\u2019t it natural that the UK<\/strong><\/a> has no Independence Day as it has always been a superpower in the modern age? It was never under a rule that the island nation had to declare itself independent from. However, Indians in the UK<\/strong> joined the \u2018Har Ghar Tiranga<\/em>\u2019 campaign last year. Canada<\/strong><\/a> celebrates Canada Day on the 1st of July every year to mark the establishment of the Dominion of Canada as a self-governing body. As for the 15th of August, Indian students in Canada<\/strong> can observe the celebrations in Greater Toronto Area or British Columbia where Indo-Canadian communities join to celebrate the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though France<\/strong> has gone through the struggles of a great revolution it does not observe an Independence Day per se. This is because the country had broken free from its own tyrant monarch and not a foreign invader. The Indian embassy in France celebrates Independence Day and openly welcomes Indians and French citizens to be a part of the celebration. Also, the 15th of August is a National Holiday in France as it is observed as Assumption Day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denmark<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Denmark<\/strong> again is a nation that has not been colonised by any other country or foreign entities. Although, they do have a Constitution Day celebrated on the 05th of June to honour the formation of their country\u2019s constitution. Despite not having an Independence Day of its own, this country does honour our National Day. The famous Danske Industries building in Copenhagen is often lit in the tricolour around the 15th of August and the Indian Embassy also calls for an open celebration on this day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

China always had a stronghold of Monarchs and a consolidated political and trade power for the longest time. For this reason, the country never faced any external invasion to declare itself independent. However, being an Indian you can celebrate the 15th of August in China<\/strong><\/a> with all your zeal and enthusiasm. The various Indian consulates in Beijing, Copenhagen and Shanghai organise celebrations on the occasion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
