A student acquiring preparatory education in the Japanese language and opting for different subjects before the university placements are also eligible for the MEXT scholarship programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, this scholarship is available to overseas students who have chosen Social Science and <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/blog\/humanities-subjects\/\"><strong>Humanities<\/strong><\/a> or Natural Sciences subjects as their majors in UG programmes. Beneficiaries are not allowed to change their streams after availing of the financial aid.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, MEXT offers 117,000 yen per month to each beneficiary. It also provides additional 2000 yen to 3000 yen per month to students engaged in research in designated fields. Additionally, the table below consists of the \u201cCourses\u201d and \u201cMajors\u201d which students can select from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table
