According to the annual report by the US, India sent 64,300 students to America in 2022 while China\u2019s number declined to 24,796.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From kindergarten to grade 12, the report covers all foreign students attending <strong>American institutions and universities<\/strong>. Asia is becoming the most common continent of origin due to the number of students from China and India. China sent fewer students in 2022 than in 2021 (-24,796). Whereas India sent more students (64,300), a difference comparable to the decline between the years 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img  loading=\"lazy\"  decoding=\"async\"  src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAEAAAABAQMAAAAl21bKAAAAA1BMVEUAAP+KeNJXAAAAAXRSTlMAQObYZgAAAAlwSFlzAAAOxAAADsQBlSsOGwAAAApJREFUCNdjYAAAAAIAAeIhvDMAAAAASUVORK5CYII=\"  width=\"624\"  height=\"416\"  class=\" pk-lazyload\"  data-pk-sizes=\"auto\"  data-pk-src=\"blob:https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/55085cfb-8089-49fc-8d54-3df38e8bda4a\" ><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of overseas students enrolled in kindergarten through grade 12 increased from 2021 to 2022. By 7.8% (3,887), according to the Student and Exchange Visitor Programme (SEVP). According to the study, all K\u201312 institutions welcomed over 700 foreign students in 2022, which was nearly identical to 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, there were 1.4% more pre- and post-completion <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/learn\/opt-and-cpt-in-usa\/\"><strong>optional practical training (OPT)<\/strong><\/a>. Students in the calendar year 2022 who reported having a job and having an employment authorisation document (EAD). Also, a decline of 400 schools from 2021. <a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/universities\/california-institute-of-technology-caltech\/\"><strong>California<\/strong><\/a> has the highest proportion of international students among the US States. A total of 2,25,173 foreign students were housed there, or 16.5% of all foreign students in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 276,723 exchange visitors were hosted by the US under the active <strong>exchange visitor programmes<\/strong>, an increase of 1.15 per cent from 2021. According to the report, China or India accounted for 46% (6,21,347) of all active <strong>SEVIS records<\/strong>, down one percentage point from 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total number of active<strong> F-1 and M-1<\/strong> student records from Asia increased by 68,678 during the years 2021 and 2022, with regional differences in student record patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
