Indian student population largest in England and Wales!
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has conducted 2021 census statistics analysis
As per the data 43,175 Indian students are enrolled in higher educational institutions
Indians make up 11.6% of the non-UK born student population
China holds the second position with 11.2% students in England & Wales
A third of the international student population was located in London.
International students in higher education (HE) is an important subgroup
They contribute to the income of universities through the tuition fees
They add to the economy of the community in which they live
It means the UK universities are welcoming of International students
