Indian Students are welcome in Australia says University of Wollongong

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that 5 universities including the UOW have placed bans on students from India

The primary reason for such a ban was the fraudulent applications seeking work and not study in Australia.

UOW has stated that Indian students have to meet only the standard eligibility requirements for all International students

One such Requirement is the Genuine Temporary Entrance Test

This year more than 2,500 students have been admitted to the UOW in Australia.

The most preferred courses among students were business, engineering, and information sciences.

The University of Wollongong has denied claims that it has banned Indian students from applying to the university
