It is also essential to understand the new changes introduced by ETS in the TOEFL exam. ETS has reduced the duration of the TOEFL exam to 1 hour 56 minutes. Listening, Reading and Writing sections have undergone changes with respect to individual time duration, number of tasks and number of questions per task. The writing section has also replaced its independent writing task with a new task.

TOEFL Exam Syllabus 2023
There are 4 sections in the TOEFL exam syllabus i.e. Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. Refer to the table below for a detailed view of the section-wise syllabus for TOEFL according to the lastest changes:
