Choosing the Right Entrance Exam after the 12th: Key Step towards Top-Tier UG Programs and Gov Opportunities

List of Entrance Exams after 12th

1. CUET

In a groundbreaking move, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct CUET online for the first time this year. Furthermore, plans are underway to make this test biannual, allowing students to improve their grades.

2. JEE

For aspiring engineers, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is a crucial national exam. By passing this exam students can gain admission to renowned IITs and other prestigious engineering institutes across the country. 

Compliance with the JEE Main requirements is also mandatory for admission to universities recognizing NTA JEE results.

3. NEET

Medical aspirants have their sights set on the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). As the sole undergraduate medical entrance examination at the national level, NTA conducts NEET UG annually in 13 different languages. 

4. NDA

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) test. Moreover, this test aims to select deserving candidates for officer positions in the Indian Navy, Indian Army, and Indian Air Force. 

The NDA exam is conducted twice a year, in April and September, encompassing both written tests and SSB interviews.

5. CLAT

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), administered by the Consortium of NLUs, takes centre stage for those aspiring to pursue law. Moreover, this nationwide examination assesses candidates’ knowledge of English, current events, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative mathematics for UG courses. Also, CLAT is conducted offline using pen and paper.
