Error Spotting Exercises <\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In each of the following sentences, a part of the sentence is incorrect. Identify the part that contains the error.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Explanation:<\/strong> ‘She’ is singular, so the correct     auxiliary verb <\/strong><\/a>is ‘does’.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Everyone have finished their work on time.
      Answer:\u00a0 <\/strong>Everyone has<\/em> finished their work on time.
      Explanation:<\/strong> ‘Everyone’ is a singular       indefinite pronoun<\/strong><\/a>, so it takes ‘has’.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Answer: <\/strong>He is senior to<\/em> me in this company.

            Answer:<\/strong> Each of the students has<\/em> submitted his or her <\/em>assignment.
            Explanation:<\/strong> ‘Each’ is singular, so use ‘has’. ‘Each’ should be followed by a singular             possessive pronoun<\/strong><\/a> (his\/her).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Answer: <\/strong>\u00a0I have been working<\/em> here since 2010.
