So, you\u2019ll distinguish them by saying \u201cLook at the <em>crying <\/em>girl\u201d or \u201cLook at the <em>running <\/em>girl.\u201d Keep in mind that in both sentences, <em>cry <\/em>and <em>run <\/em>are not acting as verbs; they\u2019re acting as adjectives because they modify the noun otter.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With the help of participles, connect them with auxiliary verbs to create different tenses, such as the present perfect tense.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Example: <\/em><\/strong>The second purpose is to create different verb tenses, specifically the perfect tenses and continuous tenses.
