Singapore Student Visa for Indians 

Every student wishes to go to Singapore for higher education. Once the student applies and receives an offer letter from the desired college, the next step is to apply for a student visa. To do this, institutes in Singapore will file for a Singapore student pass for Indian application on behalf of the students to the Singapore immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA). 

All the applications are submitted through the Student’s Pass On-Line Application & Registration (SOLAR) system. 

Cost of Applying for this Visa

All those candidates looking to apply for a Singapore Study Visa are required to pay the following visa fee

  • Processing Fee
    A processing fee of S$30 (Rs 1,637 approx) is required for every application submitted to ICA. Keep in mind that this fee is non-refundable. 
  • Issuance Fee
    A S$60 (Rs 3,275 approx) issuance fee is charged on every student’s pass issued and a further S$30 multiple-entry visa fee. The fee is payable when the candidate successfully completes the formality to collect the Student’s Pass.

Documents Required for Singapore Visa

Here are some of the important documents which are required at the time of applying for the visa

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the submission date of the visa
  • Have at least two blank pages in your passport.
  • Visa application form
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Bank statement for the last six months
  • Travel Insurance

Yes, unless you are a visa exempt national, you will need a Singapore visit visa to travel to Singapore.
