The Saksham Scholarship Program for Drivers Children is a scholarship program which is initiated by Mahindra Finance group. It aims to provide financial assistance to children of the driver’s community who are not able to bear the education of their children. This scholarship is introduced by the company as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Flagship program “Swabhimaan”. Eligibility Criteria for Mahindra Finance Saksham Scholarship Program for Drivers Children 

The Mahindra Finance Saksham Scholarship Program for Drivers Children is granted to the children of the driver’s community who are unable to bear the education of their children.

For this scholarship one of the candidate’s parents should be a driver (all light motor vehicles and small commercial vehicles such as taxis, Jeep, Car & delivery vans such as Pickup, magic, school van, etc.) and should hold a valid driving license. The candidate’s annual family income from all sources should not be more than INR 4 lakh. The scholarship will only be awarded to a maximum of two students per family. 

 The class-wise eligibility criteria are given below: 

Scholarship Program for Class 9-12

  • The candidates applying for the scholarship must be studying in classes 9 to 12 and have secured at least 60% or above marks in their previous class. 
  • The scholarship award for classes 9-10 is INR 8,000 for 1 year and for classes 11-12 is INR 10,000 for 1 year. 

Scholarship Program for Graduate Students

  • The candidates applying for the scholarship must be studying in any year of their graduation (both general and professional), ITI, Diploma, or Polytechnic courses and have secured at least 60% or above marks in their previous class. 
  • The scholarship award for graduate students is INR 15,000 for 1 year. 

Scholarship Program for Postgraduate Students 

  • The candidates applying for the scholarship must be studying in any year of their post-graduation (both general and professional) and have secured at least 60% or above marks in their previous class.
  • The scholarship award for graduate students is INR 20,000 for 1 year.

Application Process for Mahindra Finance Saksham Scholarship Program for Drivers Children 

Candidates who wish to apply for the scholarship program need to visit the Mahindra Finance Saksham Scholarship website and click on the application form section. A detailed process on how to apply for the scholarship is given below:

  • Once the students open the application form section they will need to fill in the details which have been asked. 
  • The applicant’s name, email, date of birth, gender, mobile number with an alternate mobile number, etc, will be asked. This all will be asked under the ‘about the student section. 
  • After completing the ‘about the student’ section, the candidates will be required to fill in the ‘about the school’ section. Similarly, the ‘about the parent/guardian’ section has to be filled in and the parent’s details such as driving license number, type of vehicle driven, family income and address will be asked. 
  • Once all is done the candidate will be required to submit their bank details with alternate bank details as well. After doing this, the candidates will be required to upload mandatory documents to complete their application process. 
  • At last, the candidate will be required to check the terms and condition box. By doing this their applications will be submitted. 

Documents Required to Apply for the Scholarship

Candidates who wish to apply for the scholarship program need to have certain documents with them while applying for the scholarship. The documents are mentioned below:

  • The previous year’s exam mark sheets. 
  • Income proof of the family with salary slips has to be issued by a legal authority of the government. 
  • The applicant’s bank details (cancelled cheque or passbook copy).
  • Parents driving license (commercial). In case the parent does not have a commercial driving license they can provide their employee ID card. 
  • Applicant’s photograph and address proof (residential certificate, telephone bill, etc)
