According to data from 2024, there are more than 95 lakh teachers in India\u2019s schools and colleges. But still, many remote villages do not have enough teachers. They help stop child labour, spread awareness about health and hygiene, and encourage children\u2014especially girls\u2014to attend school. This shows how a teacher can improve not just education but the whole community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teachers are also known for bringing change in society. A great example is Savitribai Phule, India\u2019s first female teacher, who started teaching girls when it was not allowed. She faced many problems but never gave up. Her courage helped many girls get the right to study. That one teacher changed the lives of millions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent times, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers did not stop teaching even when schools were closed. They used phones, videos, and other ways to stay connected with students.
