He was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. Gandhiji believed in truth, non-violence, and simple living. He fought against British rule through peaceful methods like Satyagraha and civil disobedience.

He wore simple clothes made of khadi and lived a humble life. His famous movements like the Dandi March in 1930 and the Quit India Movement in 1942 helped India become free in 1947. Gandhiji’s full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, and he studied law in England.

Even today, people follow his teachings in many countries. His birthday is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti and also as the International Day of Non-Violence. Ambedkar, the man who gave India its Constitution. He was born on 14th April 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. He belonged to a poor Dalit family and faced discrimination since childhood. But he never gave up and studied hard. He earned degrees from top universities like Columbia University in the USA and the London School of Economics.

Dr. Ambedkar worked for the rights of the poor and backward classes. He fought against the caste system and believed that everyone should be treated equally. In 1947, he became the first Law Minister of independent India and the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. He made sure that our Constitution gave equal rights to all citizens.

He also promoted education, women’s rights, and social justice. In 1956, he converted to Buddhism and inspired many others to follow a life of equality and peace.

Today, we remember him as the Architect of the Indian Constitution. His birthday, 14th April, is celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti all over India. I admire Dr. Ambedkar because he proved that education and determination can change the world. He taught us to stand up for what is right. His life is a great example of strength, wisdom, and service to the nation.

Also Read: Top Great Leaders of the World

Essay on My Favourite Leader (Subhas Chandra Bose) in 300 Words

Among all the great leaders of India, Subhas Chandra Bose is my favourite. He was a true patriot who gave his whole life to the service of the country. He was born on 23rd January 1897 in Cuttack, Odisha, in a well-educated Bengali family. From childhood, he was brave, intelligent, and full of love for his country.

Subhas Chandra Bose passed the Indian Civil Services Examination in England in 1920, which was a very big achievement. But he left the job to fight for India’s freedom. He believed that independence could not be gained by non-violence alone. He wanted to fight the British with full strength. His famous slogan was “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom.”

Netaji, as he is respectfully called, formed the Azad Hind Fauj or Indian National Army (INA) in 1943 with the help of Japan. The INA included both men and women who were ready to give their lives for the country. One of the most special parts of the INA was the Rani Jhansi Regiment, which was made up of only women soldiers. This was a very bold and new step at that time.

He also set up a government-in-exile and even declared India as a free nation before 1947. His ideas and courage inspired millions of Indians to stand up against British rule.

In 1945, Netaji disappeared in a plane crash, though many people still believe that he may have survived. His death remains a mystery even today.

I admire Subhas Chandra Bose because he was fearless, strong, and had a deep love for India. He showed us the true meaning of sacrifice and bravery. His life teaches us to stand for justice and never be afraid of struggle. Whenever I read about him, I feel proud and motivated. Netaji will always remain a true national hero in the hearts of every Indian.

Also Read: Essay on Freedom Fighters

Essay on My Favourite Leader (Dr APJ Abdul Kalam) in 500 Words

My favourite leader is Dr. A.P.J. Because of his contribution to missile technology, he was given the title “Missile Man of India.”

In 1998, Dr. Kalam was one of the main leaders behind India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests, which made India a strong nuclear power. This was a proud moment for the country.

In 2002, Dr. Kalam became the 11th President of India. He was awarded many honours, including the Bharat Ratna in 1997, which is India’s highest civilian award. He also received Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan for his outstanding work.

Dr. Kalam passed away on 27th July 2015 while giving a lecture at IIM Shillong. He died doing what he loved the most—teaching and inspiring students. His death was a big loss for the entire nation.

I admire Dr. Abdul Kalam because he proved that no dream is too big if we are ready to work hard. He taught us to stay honest, stay humble, and always serve our country. His life story—from selling newspapers as a child to becoming the President of India—shows the power of education, dedication, and good character.

Dr. Kalam will always remain a role model and a real hero for me and for millions of others.
