Our sports day was held on 10 February in the school ground. Around 600 students and 20 teachers were present. I was standing near the finish line for the 100-meter race. When the whistle blew, one boy ran very fast but forgot to remove his slippers.

After running hardly 20 meters, one slipper flew into the air and landed near the judges\u2019 table. Everyone started laughing. The boy stopped, looked back, and waved at his slipper before continuing the race barefoot. Even though he came last, he received the loudest claps.

The race lasted only 15 seconds, but the laughter continued for many minutes. This moment made our sports day unforgettable.
