They found a praying cat by the river and decided to ask for help. Seeing how the cat was praying, they trusted it. The cat heard them both out but asked them to come closer, as he couldn\u2019t hear well. When they got closer, the cat killed and ate them both.

8. The Honest Woodcutter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A woodcutter was cutting wood near a river. By mistake, his axe slipped and fell into the water. He was very sad. Suddenly, a fairy appeared and asked him what had happened.

The fairy dived into the river and came out with a golden axe. The woodcutter said it was not his. She brought a silver axe, but he again refused. Finally, she brought his old iron axe. The woodcutter smiled and said it was his axe.
