From our favourite bottle that matches the aesthetic of our desk to the sandwiches we eat or the traffic cones we see on roads, shapes are all around us. In Mathematics, geometric shapes are figures that occupy space. Every shape has certain properties, like size, dimension, and angle, which help us classify them into two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D). In this blog, we will learn more about the different maths shape and their properties. Let\u2019s begin.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-examples-of-2d-shapes-in-math\">Examples of 2D Shapes in Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Two-dimensional shapes are flat shapes and closed figures. These figures lie only on the x-axis and y-axis. Here are some 2-dimensional shapes in maths for kids with their properties.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-triangle-nbsp\">1. Triangle\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A triangle is a polygon made of three sides.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It consists of three edges and three vertices.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The sum of its internal angles is 180 degrees.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-circle-nbsp\">2. Circle\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A circle is a round-shaped figure with no corners.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It has 1 side.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no vertices.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-square-nbsp\">3.
