The festival is known as the Kambala Festival and is held every year from November to March. I came to know about this festival from a colleague, who goes there every year to enjoy it. So this time, I decided to accompany him also. As soon as we arrived, I was amazed by the place’s vibrancy. The locals there take great pride in their festivals and traditions. The people’s spirit was visible in their beautifully decorated homes, crowded markets, excited kids running around, and delicious food.

When we arrived at the location of the major event, we saw powerful buffaloes in the muddy field, along with their experienced handlers, competing in the race to pass through the field. This festival honours Lord Kadri Manjunatha. This celebration symbolises the relationship between the locals and agriculture. It connects you with the true spirit of rural cultures.

I was glad to have the opportunity to attend this festival and I truly loved it. I hope to meet you soon so that we may both attend this festival together next year.
