Rath Yatra on 7th July 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rath Yatra 2025 will be organised on 7th July. It is also known as the Chariot Festival<\/em><\/strong> and is celebrated in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The Rath Yatra involves the public procession of deities in specially designed chariots. The most famous Rath Yatra takes place in the city of Puri in the state of Odisha, India, where it is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (a form of Lord Krishna), his sister Subhadra, and his elder brother Balabhadra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Population Day on 11th July 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

World Population Day is annually observed on the 11th of July all over the world. Started by the UN in 1989, World Population Day focuses attention on global population issues. This day is observed to raise awareness about population-related issues, including overpopulation, family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health, and human rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Population Day offers an opportunity to highlight the challenges and implications associated with population growth. World Population Day 2023 theme was Unleashing the power of gender equality: Uplifting the voices of women and girls to unlock our world’s infinite possibilities. <\/em><\/strong>The 2024 theme is yet to be released. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muharram\/ Ashura on 17th July 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ashura is an Islamic festival, celebrated on the 10th Day of Muharram<\/strong>, the first month of the Islamic calendar. Ashura marks the parting of the Red Sea by Moses and the salvation of the Israelites for Sunni Muslims. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, Muharram\/ Ashura will be celebrated on the 17th of July. For Shia Muslims, Ashura marks the day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, at the Battle of Karbala in the year 61 AH (Islamic calendar). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Islamic traditions, fasting is observed in the month of Muharram, especially on the 9th and 10th days. Many Muslims use the occasion of Muharram to engage in acts of charity, kindness, and good deeds. It is a time for reflection, repentance, and dedication to living a righteous life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guru Purnima on 21st July 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Guru Purnima\/ Vyasa Purnima<\/strong> is a religious festival celebrated by the Hindus, Jain and Buddhists of India, Nepal, and Bhutan. Guru Purnima is dedicated to offering respect to all the spiritual and academic gurus, who offered their unconditional support for their disciples’ success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It typically falls on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha, which usually corresponds to July in the Gregorian calendar. This year, it will be observed on 21st July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guru is a Sanskrit term, that refers to the spiritual guide, teacher, or mentor, and Guru Purnima is an occasion to acknowledge and pay respects to these figures who play a significant role in shaping individuals’ lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
