During that time, the Mughal Empire was under the control of Aurangzeb who was suppressing the religious freedom of the people and they were trying to convert non-Muslims.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guru Gobind Singh Ji stood strong against it and established the Khalsa community. The Khalsa community was a group of warriors that fought to protect and uphold the Sikh principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sons of the tenth Guru of Sikhism fought against the Mughal Emperor. It was on the morning of 7 December 1705, when the battle of Chamkaur was fought. But they both denied and maintained the pride of Sikhism. They both remained steadfast in their belief and motive and faced extreme torture by the Mughal Emperors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, death they were sentenced to death. On 11 December 1705, they were sealed alive in a wall just because they refused to convert. As the masonry reached chest-high it crumbles. Both of them were again sent to the cold tower and on 12 December 1705, Baba Fateh Singh Ji and Baba Zorawar Singh Ji were sealed alive in the live and died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 11 December 1705, they were ordered to be sealed alive in a wall. As the masonry around their tender bodies reached chest-high, it crumbled. The Sahibzadas were sent to the Cold Tower again for the night. On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas a religious fair is held from 25 December to 28 December every year. 26 December is dedicated to honour the martyrs of Chamk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site of the fateful happenings, since christened Fatehgarh Sahib, close to the old town of Sirhind, is now marked by four Sikh shrines.
