The organization first carried out studies with the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) in 2016 across India. As a trial, Trusts has been working with the district administrations in <strong>25<\/strong> districts in <strong>3<\/strong> states to improve cleanliness and hygiene standards. They are called <em>preraks<\/em>, or sanitation warriors, whose aim is to make these target districts open defecation-free. They also contribute to handling the solid and liquid waste management in their designated areas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you want to become a <em>prerak<\/em> under this scheme to bring about real change, you need to fulfil the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The applicant must have a UG\/PG degree in any of the following disciplines:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rural Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liberal Studies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>The applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience to handle any government schemes and\/or social\/rural development&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fresh graduates from premier management institutes across the country are also encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must possess institutional development experience and leadership abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must be capable of innovating present and future strategies in a challenging situation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must have excellent spoken and written skills in English and local languages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must also possess exceptional interpersonal, computer, sound, and writing skills and work with a team spirit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-ocean-gradient-background has-background\"><strong>Also Read:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/discover\/indian-scholarships\/astral-foundation-scholarship\/\">Aikyashree Scholarship 2024: Amount, Scholarship Status, and Last Date<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application-process\">Application Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The application process for the Swachh Bharat Fellowship is quite simple. If selected, you will be notified of the next steps through email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-important-dates\">Important Dates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The registration dates for the Swachh Bharat Fellowship 2024-25 are not announced yet. However, you can stay updated about the important announcements by regularly visiting the scholarship&#8217;s official website. Moreover, we will update the application dates here once they are announced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-amount-and-benefits\">Amount and Benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While the Swachh Bharat Fellowship stipend amount has not yet been announced for 2023, it\u2019s been around <strong>INR 20,000 <\/strong>in previous years. After successful completion of the fellowship, the Fellows receive a grant of <strong>INR 1.75 lakhs<\/strong> in addition to the stipend. These amounts help Fellows cover living expenses and other costs related to the fellowship. Financial support is also provided to help fellows pursue their goals post-fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-swachh-bharat-fellowship-job-description\">Swachh Bharat Fellowship: Job Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ZSBPs will be deployed to work with the District Collector or District Development Officer. The DC\/DDO is responsible for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) program in the district. And here are the set of responsibilities that the Swachh Bharat Fellows will be expected to handle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-responsibilities\">Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Grant coordination, supervision, and monitoring assistance: <\/strong>Help the district administration implement the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) program effectively. This includes developing a district-level Swachta Action, Finance, and Sustainability Plan, setting up monitoring and supervision mechanisms, and analyzing and updating MIS data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fund management and planning: <\/strong>Support the monitoring, management, and broadcasting of fund flows in the district, and develop need-based financial plans for different elements of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sustainability and implementation assistance:<\/strong> Provide monitoring and implementation assistance for district-level sustainability actions related to the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social and behavioural change communication (SBCC) support: <\/strong>Develop and implement SBCC approaches to promote cleanliness and personal hygiene.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training and capacity building support:<\/strong> Develop and implement a training and capacity building plan, with a focus on Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS), for multiple stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technological support:<\/strong> Identify and promote appropriate technological solutions for cleanliness and solid and liquid waste management, given the geographic conditions in the district.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data collection and analysis support: <\/strong>Collect, manage, and analyze data to inform decision-making.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stakeholder engagement support: <\/strong>Promote linkages and networking with different stakeholders, such as government departments, civil society organizations, and corporations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communication support:<\/strong> Support the use of social media and other communication channels to build mass awareness for the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Standard operating procedures (SOPs) development support:<\/strong> Develop SOPs for quality control, engineering supervision, ODF protocols, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Innovation support: <\/strong>Promote innovative methodologies and strategies for promoting social entrepreneurship and integrating them into
