There is a high possibility that this disorder often lasts till adulthood. Recent studies have indicated a significant hereditary component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scientists are researching additional potential causes and risk factors outside genetics, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brain damage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposure to environmental hazards as a child or during pregnancy, such as lead.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use of smoke and alcohol while pregnant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Premature birth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low birth weight at delivery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-treatments-for-adhd-in-kids\">Treatments for ADHD in Kids<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most effective way to treat ADHD is usually a mix of medication and behaviour therapy. Before trying medication, behaviour therapy\u2014especially parent education\u2014is advised as the initial course of treatment for preschool-aged children (4-5 years old) with ADHD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What functions best may vary depending on the family and child.
