Every year on 31 October, India observes Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as National Unity Day, in honour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel\u2019s birthday. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, sometimes referred to as the \u201cIron Man of India,\u201d helped bring the country\u2019s 565 princely republics together during independence<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
