This is referred to as the resolution 3038 (XXVII). The resolution was sent to the UN General Assembly for its official approval.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was approved by the UN in 1972 and marked 24 October as the World Development Information Day. This day coincides with the United Nations Day and the adoption of the International Development Strategy for the Second United Nations Development Decade in 1970.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-when-is-world-development-information-day-celebrated\">When is World Development Information Day Celebrated?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>World Development Information Day is celebrated on 24 October. The crucial part associated with the objective of global development is the mobilization of public opinion.
