National Solidarity Day is celebrated every year on October 20. It is an official day dedicated to honouring the bravery and valour of Indian military forces. Moreover, it also pays tribute to the perseverance of our armed forces <\/strong><\/a>during the Sino-Indian War against China which occurred from October to November in 1962. This important day reminds citizens of national unity during difficult times. It encourages Indian citizens to come together, despite their differences, and uphold the values of patriotism and nationalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

National Solidarity Day History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Popular beliefs tell that National Solidarity Day was established in 1966. It all happened when the Sino-Indian War caused territorial disputes and border skirmishes. A difficult phase in Indian history was the time of the conflict between India and China. On 20 October 1962, China attacked India’s northeastern border, starting the conflict. Therefore, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi established October 20 as National Solidarity Day to honour brave Indian soldiers and their families who lost everything in conflicts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It serves as a reminder of the unbreakable spirit of our soldiers who bravely protected our country’s frontiers. It is a day to show gratitude to our armed services and to reaffirm our dedication to maintaining the security and sovereignty of our cherished nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
