Bathukamma is a festival which is observed in the state of Telangana and also in some parts of Andhra Pradesh. This festival celebrates the beginning of the season called ‘Sarad’ or ‘Sharath Ruthu’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For all those who don’t know, this festival lasts for a period of 9 days along with the Durga Puja- Navratri festival. This festival is celebrated in the month of October. Speaking of this festival, the first day is usually considered a public holiday. The last day of the Bathukamma celebrations falls on Durgashtami day, which is two days before the festival of Dussehra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This period of nine days has been designated as a vacation for the Dussehra and Bathukamma festivities. For this purpose, the government of Telangana includes information about these festivals which are then released by the Education Department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
