The State Level Eligibility Test (SLET<\/strong><\/a>) is a qualifying exam that is conducted for recruitment as an assistant professor in a state’s universities and colleges. The SLET is conducted under the direction of the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The State Level Eligibility Examination is, however, conducted by the relevant state government or state agency. Several Indian states and state agencies hold the SLET at different times of the year.
