The admissions to the Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya are conducted through an entrance test known as DAVV CET. Students are required to give the test for both Undergraduate<\/strong><\/a> and Postgraduate programs. Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya and affiliated colleges in Indore intake students on the basis of the DAVV CUET or earlier known as DAVV CET examination. There is a list of programs for which this examination is conducted. DAVV CET intakes students for MA Journalism<\/strong>, M.Com<\/strong>, MCA<\/strong>, M.Tech<\/strong>, MSc<\/strong>, MBA<\/strong><\/a> or PGDM<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For certain other degrees and some certificate courses<\/strong>, there is Merit based admission system. According to the requirements set by the course, candidates are evaluated based on their academic scores at various levels of education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latest Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since the past few years, the DAVV CET examination is scrapped and all the courses that used to fall under the category are now subject to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for both undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The examination will be conducted online in 31 different cities. For the ease of students, the exam will be available in 13 different mediums and will be commenced under the guidelines of the National Testing Agency after being a part of the CUET Examination system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notification<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The notification for the DAVV CET\/ CUET is released and the application procedure for the examination has already begun. The applications are open from 09 February 2023 to 12 March 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The examination will be scheduled between 21 May 2023 to 31 May 2023 and reserve dates are 01-07 June 2023. The examination fee will be charged according to the number of courses selected by the student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exam Dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The dates for the 2023 DAVV CET or CUET Examination are released by the National Testing Agency<\/strong>. Most of the dates regarding the examination schedule are out, the candidates must keep referring to the latest dates regarding the examination for further information. Exam Pattern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The DAVV CET or CUET is organised in different shifts in a day over a period of a few days. The candidates can choose their slots and language according to the availability in the test centres. Certain important things to note about DAVV CET Exam Pattern are given below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The language choices are based on the availability of languages in the exam centres. The candidates can only choose among the languages that are available in the chosen exam centre. Among the subjects and languages, the candidates can choose 1-10 subjects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syllabus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The syllabus of the examination depends upon the subjects and courses that a candidate applies for. For each category chosen, the candidate will have to write a separate test. The syllabus of the examination is divided into three sections, Language, Domain Specific, and General test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The language section is also marked as Section 1 and is divided into Section 1A and Section 1B. Here are some details about the Language Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In Section 1A there is an option to choose among 13 different languages for the test. In Section 1B one can choose from 20 different languages. The questions from both sections are to be answered separately by the candidate. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The various topics covered in the language section are Reading Comprehension<\/strong> based on factual, literary and narrative passages, Vocabulary<\/strong> and Literary Aptitude. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Domain Specific<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The domain-specific questions comprise Section 2 in the examination syllabus. This section includes subject-related questions from the class 12th coursebook. To refer to the syllabus for each subject one can check our blog on DAVV CET Exam Syllabus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    General Test <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Also known as Section 3, this section is common in all the subject examinations. There are various topics covered in this section that are mentioned below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The requirements of the test and the admissions could be different. The DAVV CET test is a common test for many universities but admissions are granted to students based on the university guidelines and cutoffs. The various common requirements to sit for the test are given below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      1. There is no age limit for appearing for the examination. The age limits set by the universities for certain courses are applicable at the time of admission. In DAVV the upper age limit for UG courses is 23 years and For PG courses<\/strong> is 28 years. MBA and LLM<\/strong> have no age bar. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. The candidates should have passed or are appearing for the class 12th examination as of 2023. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. The board of education in 10+2 or any equivalent examinations should be recognised by the examination board. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Vocational Examination certificates are also acceptable. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. In DAVV CET the score required in the qualifying examination for PG courses from a recognised university is 50% – 55%. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. An AICTE or State recognised Diploma examination is also acceptable. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. General Certificate of Education is required for scores from international institutions. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      8. The quota and reservation guidelines are applicable as prescribed by the universities individually. The upper age limit for PwD candidates in DAVV CET is 30-35 years. SC and ST candidates are given a 5% relaxation of marks. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Application Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Earlier the candidates had to apply for the examination on the DAVV official Website, however on transferring the examination to CUET Guidelines. The National Testing Agency has urged the candidates to fill out the forms carefully and that only online forms will be accepted. The application form is a 3-step process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click on the Register button. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Provide the personal information, Password and security questions for account retrieval. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Click on Register. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. A system-generated application number will be sent to the applicant’s mail id. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. The candidate can then login to their accounts and open the application form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. The candidate has to enter educational qualifications, selected cities and programs. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Upload all important documents like Photographs, Signatures, Community certificates and PwD certificates if applicable. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Fee Payment <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Proceed to the pay examination fee option. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Use Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI to pay the examination fee. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Once the payment confirmation page appears, take a print of the page. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            4. Review and save the application form. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
            5. Click on Submit to complete the procedure. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Admit Card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              The admit card will be available on the NTA website on the notified date. The admit card will be issued only to the candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for the test. The candidates have to check their exam slots, dates, and centre carefully as they will only be allowed in the ones mentioned in their admit cards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              The candidates will be able to download the admit card from the NTA website online. Any discrepancies in the admit card must be reported beforehand. To download the DAVV CET or CUET admit card the candidates have to follow the given instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Answer Key<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                The specific dates for the release of answer keys have not been released yet. The provisional answer key will only is displayed for 2 – 3 days and the candidates can submit corrections with a non-refundable fee of INR 200. A final answer key will be displayed with incorporated changes (if approved) and the test papers will be evaluated with the same answer keys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                The DAVV CET or CUET answer key will be available on the official website of the National Testing Agency. The question paper will also be available online to evaluate the answers. The final scores in the scorecard might differ from the scores estimated by the candidate, a request for rechecking can be submitted in such cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                Before the results of the examination are displayed, the conducting body releases the recorded responses of the candidates with the question papers. The results released by NTA for DAVV CET or CUET will be online and can be used for admissions only in the year 2023-2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Selection Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                  The selection process for the DAVV CET is specific to the university guidelines. The university releases a separate cutoff for each course a few days after the examination.  These cutoffs and the list of requirements in the eligibility criteria for the DAVV CET examination together constitute the Selection Process for DAVV CET. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Cutoff <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                  To check the cutoff one has to visit the DAVV CET website. The cutoff list includes the minimum marks and rank requirements for the various courses and categories under reservation. Here is how one can check the cutoff for DAVV CET. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    How to Prepare for DAVV CET\/CUET?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                    To prepare for this examination the candidates must make sure that they start preparing early. The DAVV CET or CUET examination pattern and syllabus must be followed for the preparation of the examination. The applicants can easily prepare for the exam while studying for their 10+2 examinations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
