The Indian Law Institute conducts a national-level entrance test for law-based courses annually. The examination process is started with a Common Aptitude Test. The examination is popularly called ILICAT<\/strong><\/a> among students and a number of aspirants apply for the institute each year. The examination screens the candidates based on their proficiency in the English Language<\/strong><\/a> and their aptitude in Legal reasoning<\/strong> and aspects. The examination is conducted for a total of 180 Marks over 144 questions based on various topics. Latest Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ILI CAT Examinations are expected to be conducted in April 2023. The official notification for the commencement of the exam will be notified soon. The candidates preparing for the examination are expected to check the online application forms by the end of February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised dates and important updates regarding the examination will be shared here as soon as the official notification comes out. The notification will be released by the Indian Law Institute in the form of a pdf that can be downloaded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ILI CAT Merit List <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Merit list of the students is released after the ILI CAT Examination. The result of the ILI CAT Exam itself is in the form of a Merit list. There are two merit lists that are released by the Indian Law Institute, one is released to declare the results of the entrance examination and the other is released before the counselling session<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Merit list released is to call students for further evaluation. The one released after the three rounds of selection is the final evaluation and is considered for admission. The ILI CAT Merit List is released with separate lists for General, SC<\/strong><\/a>, ST<\/strong><\/a> and OBC<\/strong><\/a> Candidates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details in the Merit list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Merit List released after the ILI CAT entrance examination is the first screening of candidates to call the selected ones for further analysis. This Provisional Merit List is also declared by the institute as a result of each candidate. The various details in the list are given below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Roll Number of the candidate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Application number of the candidate. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Candidate\u2019s full name. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Response in the objective questions section includes: Number of correct responses, the number of wrong responses, the number of blanks and the questions not evaluated. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. The total number of questions section always displays the same number. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. The Marks secured section has Objective marks, Subjective marks and total marks obtained. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    ILI CAT Cut off<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The ILI CAT cutoff is the minimum number of marks to be secured by a student to proceed to the next round of selection. The cutoff list is also released category-wise. The ILI CAT Cutoff list for the year 2022 is given below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Steps to Download the Merit List<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To check the ILI CAT Results 2023 the candidates need to keep checking on the exam updates regularly. Here are the steps to download the merit list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Visit the official website of the Indian Law Institute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Look for the \u2018ILI CAT LLM<\/strong>\/PhD<\/strong> Provisional Merit List 2023\u2019 in the notification section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click on the link that appears. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Check the scores. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Download the pdf for future reference.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Previous Year\u2019s Merit List <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The ILI CAT 2022 Merit List can be used to compare marks and difficulty levels of the examination. The candidates who are preparing for the examination now will be able to get an idea of the exam scores and intake with the merit list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the previous year, 72 candidates were shortlisted from the General Category and the highest score was 159 which is a very good score for the Law Entrance Test. The list is attached herewith for the candidate\u2019s reference. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
