The CUSAT CAT Law Syllabus 2023 is determined by the School of Legal Studies (SLS), Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) which offers LLB<\/strong>, LLM, and PhD courses for law students. Formerly known as Cochin University, CUSAT conducts CAT for its BBA LLB (Hons.), B.Com LLB<\/a><\/strong> (Hons.), LLB (Three Year), and LLM<\/strong> courses. BBA LLB (Hons.) and B.Com LLB (Hons.) have the same aptitude test, which includes 150 objective-type questions. 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. CUSAT CAT Three Year LLB Syllabus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The aptitude test for CUSAT Three Year LLB Course comprises 150 objective-type questions, which are segregated into two sections- Part I and Part II. Each correct answer is awarded 3 marks, whereas -1 is awarded for each incorrect answer. Both parts of this test carry equal weightage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUSAT CAT LLM Syllabus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The aptitude test for CUSAT CAT LLM is a collection of 150 questions, which are divided into Part I and Part II. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Unlike CAT BBA LLB (Hons.)\/B.Com LLB (Hons.) and three-year LLB, CAT LLM has two additional tests- Group Discussion and Interview, owing to which Part I and Part II of this aptitude test only have 35% each during the selection process.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUSAT Law Courses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CUSAT offers Law programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students must qualify for CUSAT CAT Law to get admission to BBA LLB (Hons.), BA LLB (Hons.), LLB (three years) and LLM courses at this institution. BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) are five-year programmes, LLB is a three-year programme, and LLM is a one or two-year programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUSAT BBA LLB (Hons.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

BBA LLB (Hons.) is a 5-year dual degree programme that offers business-related subjects such as Financial Management<\/strong>, Business Ethics<\/strong><\/a>, and Human Resource Management<\/strong>,<\/strong> among others, and core law subjects. This course focuses on Corporate Law in the last semesters for the benefit of students. During the last 2 years, CUSAT focuses on the legal aspects of Business Administration and the business administration facets of Law. The curriculum of this course is prescribed by CUSAT in accordance with the guidelines of the Bar Council of India (BCI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUSAT B.Com LLB (Hons.)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

B.Com LLB (Hons.), a 5-year dual degree programme comprising commerce-related subjects such as <\/strong>Entrepreneurship<\/strong>, <\/strong>Financial Accounting<\/strong><\/a>, Corporate Accounting and core law subjects offer an excellent opportunity to students. By the end of this course, commerce students have postgraduate-level knowledge about the commercial front of Law and the legal side of Commerce. Just like the BBA LLB (Hons.) programme, the curriculum of this course is designed by CUSAT in accordance with the regulations of the Bar Council of India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone interested in law or aspiring to become a lawyer can enrol in this 3 year LLB course, which offers a practical understanding of subjects such as Code of Criminal Procedure, Code of Civil Procedure, Moot Court, Law of Evidence, Drafting, and Pleading and Conveyancing, among others. The curriculum for the same is decided by the university, which determines the subjects and exams according to the guidelines of the Bar Council of India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CUSAT LLM program is designed to ignite the researcher within law students, who can specialise in Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Commercial Law<\/strong><\/a>, Criminal Law<\/strong>, International Criminal Law, Human Rights Law<\/strong>, Environmental Law<\/strong>, Labour Law<\/strong>, Corporate Law<\/strong>, Consumer and Competition Laws, Intellectual Property Law<\/strong>, International Trade and Investment Law, International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, and Maritime Law.
