The Common Management Admission Test, also known as the CMAT exam, is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Before 2018, the exam was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The examination is conducted to select eligible and qualified candidates for various management programmes in different institutes.
The final CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-approved/affiliated institutes for admission into various management programmes. Once the result of CMAT 2023 is declared, participating institutions will release their own cut-off scores. The candidates will have to meet the cut-off score to get qualified for admission to the respective institute. The qualified candidates will be further called for the next round of the selection procedure of that respective institute which will either consist of a group discussion (GD) or a personal interview (PI) or in some cases both. The final selection of the candidate will be on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the GD & PI.
