How to Prepare for CA CPT 2023?

It is essential that the candidates start preparing for the exam months before the exam date and only revise the sections when only a month is left. Candidates with a commerce background will have an added advantage in preparing for the CA CPT exam. The preparation tips for the CA CPT are given below.

  1. Accounting is the main subject of any CA exam. The student should have an in-depth knowledge of class 11th and class 12th Accounts. One should strengthen their basic concepts and enhance their calculation speed for scoring better in Accounts.
  2. The Business law-based questions in the CA CPT exam are not theoretical textbook questions. The Business law-based questions are applicative in nature and practising mock tests and question papers can improve the candidate’s score in this field.
  3. The key to cracking the economics section is to be proficient in class 11th and 12th concepts of economics and practice the ICAI Prescribed books for the same. The macroeconomics part is rather theoretical and consists of 25 marks weightage so the candidates can score better by focussing on this section.
  4. The Mathematics and Statistics part is basic but the candidate must not take it lightly. A good practice of basic class 10th Mathematics and Statistics can help in scoring good marks.
  5. The candidates should keep checking the latest syllabus for preparation and plan their study time properly.
  6. The ideal strategy is to always make notes of important points and resolve the difficult or exceptional questions separately to keep brushing them up.
