ALLIANCE AMAT Exam Pattern: The ALLIANCE-AMAT stands for Alliance Management Aptitude Test is an entrance exam which is conducted by the Alliance School of Business, Alliance University for admissions to its MBA programs. The entrance exam measures the candidate’s aptitude in areas such as verbal ability, quantitative ability, reasoning and general awareness. The examination is usually conducted in offline mode and consists of multiple-choice questions. 

The exam pattern is a crucial aspect of any entrance test as it determines the fairness, validity, and reliability of the exam, and helps the test-takers to prepare and perform well. The ALLIANCE AMAT exam pattern helps the candidates to prepare for the exam in a structured and effective manner. Knowing the exam pattern beforehand helps the test-takers to understand the type of questions, format, duration and marking scheme of the exam.

ALLIANCE AMAT Exam Pattern 2023

The Alliance Management Aptitude Test is an offline entrance test which is conducted for 1 hour. It is divided into five sections which are quantitative, conceptual, general English, comprehension and general knowledge. A total of 65 questions are asked in this entrance exam. The section-wise weightage for each section is given below in the table.

Marking Scheme of ALLIANCE AMAT

Students appearing for the Alliance Management Aptitude Test (AMAT) can refer to the marking scheme given below: 

• One (1) mark will be granted for every correct answer.  
• 0.25 marks will be reduced for every wrong answer.
• No marks will be granted or reduced for unanswered questions. 

Stages of ALLIANCE AMAT EXam

Written Exam

The written exam of the Alliance Management Aptitude Test (AMAT) is conducted in online mode for a duration of 1 hour. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions. There are five sections in the written test. They are as follows:

• Quantitative 
• General English 
• Conceptual 
• General Knowledge
• Comprehension 

Counselling Process of Alliance-AMAT

The candidates who are qualified in the written test have to register themselves for the counselling process round. In the counselling process, students will be required to undergo a document verification process. Only those candidates who will pass the Alliance-AMAT exam with the required score will be chosen for the counselling process, which will be conducted for individuals seeking admission to MBA (Master of Business Administration) programmes. 

The counselling session will typically be conducted by faculty members or admission officers from the business school or management institute. The purpose of the counselling session is to provide the candidates with more information about the management program, and the admission process, and to address any queries or concerns that the candidates may have.

At the document verification process, students are supposed to bring the following documents: 

• Class 10th mark sheets and pass certificates 
• Class 12th mark sheets and pass certificates 
• Certificate of work experience if any
• ID Proof 
• Passport size photograph 

Personal Interview of Alliance-AMAT

The final round of the Alliance Management Aptitude Test (AMAT) is the personal interview. The purpose of the PI is to assess the candidate’s communication skills, personality traits, knowledge, and suitability for the management program. The interviewer may ask questions related to the candidate’s academic background, work experience (if any), leadership qualities, extracurricular activities, career aspirations, and general awareness of current affairs.
