Students need to officially apply for these entrance York University International Student Scholarships during the time of admission. 

Important Dates: The application form for fall/winter semester 2023 is December 2022 and the last date to apply for them is February, 2023

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this particular York University international Student Scholarship the candidates must fulfill the following requirements. 

1. Must be an international student.
2. Must be an applicant for the winter/fall semester 2023.
3. There shouldn’t be a gap of more than two years between the completion of high school education and applying for York University. 
4. Excellent academic record. (With minimum A average or equivalent)
5. Letter of recommendation from their respective high school

York University Continuing Student Scholarship

This York University International Student Scholarship is offered once every year in the month of August. Students who have performed exceedingly well in the previous semester would automatically qualify for this scholarship. Therefore, no separate application form is required for this particular one. The amount of the Scholarship varies proportionately with the qualifying candidate’s academic achievement and course load of that particular semester. 

International Student Bursary

In case of some unexpected financial emergency, the international students can apply for international student Bursary. The sanctioned amount would be enough to cover small costs but not the entire tuition fees. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this York University International Student Scholarship the candidates must fulfill the following requirements.

1. The candidate must have performed well academically. 
2. Must have completed their first year of Study. 
3. The financial difficulty that the candidate is facing must be unexpected.

Anne Simone Graduate Student International Conference Award

This scholarship award is given to those students who are enrolled in a full-time graduate program at York University’s faculty of liberal arts and professional studies and are attending an international conference to present their research work. 

Armand and Denise La Barge Graduate Scholarship in Multiculturalism

This York University International Student Scholarship is awarded to that one student who has performed exceedingly well in their particular field of study. It is awarded to one graduate student enrolled at York university every year. To apply, the candidate must be nominated from their graduate program. 

Deadline – Aspiring candidates must submit the application to their faculty office by February, 2023.

Howard Daugherty International Graduate Award in Neotropical Conservation

This scholarship is given to the graduate or doctoral students of York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies who wish to research on topics related to Neotropical Conservation. To qualify for this scholarship, the students must have acquired at least an average of B academically and must prove that he/she is financially incapable of funding the research. To apply, the Candidate must be nominated from their graduate program.

Deadline – The candidate must be nominated by their respective program with complete documentation before April 27, 2023 

Joyce and Fred Zemans Scholarship

This York University International Student Scholarship is awarded to only one student who is enrolled into a Graduate Program in Art History, the Schulich School of Business MBA program, Osgoode Hall Law School’s Graduate Program in Law each. To apply, the Candidate must be nominated from their graduate program.

Deadline – The candidate must be nominated by their respective program with complete documentation before April 27, 2023

Manulife Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to doctoral students who wish to pursue research in any of the fields related to International Health Policy or Epidemics. To be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must directly apply to the university’s Scholarship and Awards Coordinator with the required documents. 

Deadline – All the aspiring candidates must apply before March, 2023. 

Provost Dissertation Scholarship

This Scholarship is offered to students who are in the fifth year of their doctorate programme. The candidates must apply for this scholarship while they are in the fourth year of their study.

Sherrill Cheda Graduate Scholarship

This York University scholarship will be awarded to those incoming graduate students who are a part of the women’s studies program. To be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must have a commendable academic record and give proof of their financial ability to support their study.
