People have conflicting views on the TOEFL vs IELTS debate. But we believe this depends on the kind of test you’re comfortable with!

Both IELTS and TOEFL have a little different paper pattern hence you should read on to find out which test is best suitable for you!

IELTS uses both paper and computers, but TOEFL is only computer-based. So you can select IELTS if you feel more at ease taking a test on paper.

You must show up for a personal interview for the IELTS speaking test. In contrast, the TOEFL allows you to converse with the computer while taking the online exam itself.

You will be required to prepare a longer essay for the TOEFL writing portion. On the other hand, you can take the IELTS which has short descriptive questions. 

IELTS requires you to provide concise responses, but TOEFL does not. You must attempt MCQ-style questions on the TOEFL.

The TOEFL reading passages are more educational than entertaining. IELTS reading passage are more academic based.
