Australia's University of Sydney is named among the most sustainable universities in the world.
The University is ranked #5 globally by the latest QS Sustainability Rankings.
QS ranks 700 institutions globally, including 33 from Australia.
The ranking is based on the institution's research, teaching and community engagement.
The university also launched a new major called Sustainability delving into diverse perspectives on sustainability.
The major will be available for students from 2023.
