Study Abroad: Punjabi language to be a part of Australian curriculum
Students in Australia enrol their children in local schools. Children will learn their mother tongue in foreign schools.
Punjabi will now be taught in public schools in Australia as Punjabi is the fastest-growing language in Australia.
Earlier Tamil, Hindi, and Korean were added to the curriculum to teach Punjabi in schools.
ATAR course assessment is scheduled for 2025, and students are anticipated to be able to enrol in 11 courses.
Earlier, Australian Sikh history was taught in Western Australian schools' Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum.
