For the past 18 months, India and the UK have been negotiating to expand their business and investment relationships.
James Cleverly believes that the UK-India relationship is vital for them and one which they want to strengthen and deepen.
James Cleverly also said that a large number of Indians want to study in the UK and Indian companies want to engage in commerce, a really positive development.
He also mentioned that he is elated to see the excitement and passion among the Indians about the British PM, Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian descent.
More work and study visas are anticipated for Indian nationals.
