Last year, Australia announced uncapped work hours for international graduates which were extended last month as the country faces acute skill crisis.

The uncapped work hours were welcomed by the industry and businesses but the change has been flacked by many in the international education fraternity.

They feared that these uncapped work hours could compromise the students’ focus away from their studies, resulting in below-par academic performances.

This would also affect the overall quality of university education in Australia and, thereby, the country’s reputation for offering top-quality higher education.

Considering this the Australian government has decided to cap these working hours next year from July 2023 to 40 hours a fortnight again.
