Financial Aid at University of Nicosia
1. Academic Merit Scholarships based on previous academic performance
First-year students at the university are eligible for a scholarship based on their High School Completion Certificate grades, depending on the country where that grade was issued. Scholarships are awarded as a percentage reduction in tuition fees and are valid for one academic year.
In order to be eligible for this type of scholarship, students must:
- Submit their High School Leaving Certificate upon application.
- Be registered on a full-time basis (30 ECTS per semester).

2. Academic Merit Scholarships based on Academic Performance at the University
Two regular semesters after the first enrollment and in each additional semester, scholarships are awarded according to the academic achievements at the university as follows –

In order to be eligible for this type of scholarship, students must have –
- Full-time status (30 ECTS per semester)
- Completed a minimum of 30 credits or 60 ECTS at the university, and been registered in the previous semester.
3. Athletic Scholarships
Students who are active in university sports clubs can receive sports scholarships of up to 40% of their tuition fees. The exact scholarship percentage will be determined after application and selection. The amount of the scholarship is determined by the type of sport and the contribution and performance of the student in this sport and participation in other university activities.
FAQs
Student ID cards will be issued to you before the end of the first semester. For new students, an announcement will be posted on the Moodle platform requiring new students to upload a photo of themselves to their profile on the platform. Appropriate instructions will be attached to the announcement. For current students, students who, for whatever reason, did not receive a student ID in the first semester of their studies should check the appropriateness of the uploaded student ID photo and replace it if necessary, when the next announcement is published.
Last grades are displayed in the UNIC Portal in My Grades, under Scholastic given that the educational expenses for the semester have been paid. By tapping on the last grade, you can see the point-by-point grades for investment, tasks and the last evaluation.
You can temporarily interrupt your studies for one or more semesters, as long as the total duration of your visit (including the interruption) does not exceed the maximum duration of your studies.
