  • In the Philippines, there are about 2,000 higher education institutions. There are 656 public ones and the rest are private
  • Following Spain’s ceding of the Philippines to the United States, English has become the country’s official language. As a result, university programs are taught entirely in this language
  • The Spanish took their faith with them when they landed in the Philippines. Catholicism is still the most popular religion among Filipinos. This is one of the reasons why Catholic universities have grown in popularity. There are approximately 160 of them, with several of them ranking among the world’s greatest universities
  • In 2017, the Philippine government approved legislation making higher education at public colleges free for Filipino residents. Subsidies would be available for students attending private universities
  • As previously said, the Philippines’ society is made up of people from various ethnicities and backgrounds. As a result, Filipinos will be delighted to hear about your nation and will be eager to teach you everything they know about their own!
