Latest Updates on TOEFL 2023

A lot of changes have been introduced to the TOEFL test this year. These changes are beneficial for International students who are planning to study abroad in a native English Speaking Nation. The TOEFL Exam duration has been reduced to 2 hours.

The new TOEFL Exam Pattern has also changed to accommodate the tasks within the time limits. This change is effective from July 2023. Before July the exam duration was around 3 hours. These changes will be effective from the 26th of July 2023.

Moreover, the TOEFL exam is now acceptable in Canada SDS entry. This is great news for students as they now have more options to choose from. It was already a popular test for Canadian universities and is now acceptable for SDS entry as well.

TOEFL Test Centre Accommodations

TOEFL Test Center Accommodations: TOEFL test centre accommodations are support provided by ETS to needy candidates. Before registering for the exam, candidates should apply for assistance with the relevant documentation. Once ETS has approved the help, the candidate can schedule his or her exam at an ETS-designated TOEFL test centre and be confident that the necessary TOEFL Test Centre Accommodations will be supplied.

Register for TOEFL at Home

The TOEFL Test Home Edition is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with appointments starting as soon as you register. To be allowed to take the test at home, students must merely meet the ETS – the TOEFL exam’s administering authority – equipment and environment conditions. Before taking the TOEFL Test Home Edition, keep the following points in mind:

• Before you attempt to check in for your test, check and repair any problems with your laptop/computer. All issues must be resolved prior to your scheduled appointment time.
• All browsers and applications that are not required for the test should be closed. This will help you avoid bandwidth troubles when taking the test.
• Test takers are recommended to carry only approved materials with them for the duration of the TOEFL Home Edition Test. All other materials are strictly prohibited.
  • Passport or Aadhar Cards as acceptable ID
  • Acceptable note-taking materials, such as a whiteboard or plastic transparency sheet, that can be erased in view of the proctor
  • Cell phone or handheld mirror for check-in
  • Make sure your testing area meets all environmental requirements
• Finally, the candidate must be adequately dressed, with their ears and face visible to the proctor. Wearing jewellery or other accessories is not recommended. Wearing a face mask during check-in or any other part of your TOEFL home testing experience is not permitted.

TOEFL Registration 2023

TOEFL 2023 registrations can be completed over the phone, online, by mail, or in person at a TOEFL 2023 test registration centre. Throughout the year, one can register for the TOEFL exam. TOEFL applicants can choose from a variety of test centres. Before submitting an application, the location of the exam should be determined. Please keep in mind that candidates can register online up to two days before the test, but registrations made seven days before the test will incur a late fee.
