Reduced Tuition for Part-Time Students

Full-time enrollment is required by UC policy. Under specific conditions, students may be allowed to enrol in a reduced course load by their college. Nevertheless, this does not entitle you to discounted tuition and fees.

Reduced tuition and a shorter course of study may be authorised in very limited circumstances. In these situations, students must seek clearance from both the Disabled Students’ Program and their college for a modified course of study. After the approvals are in place, students will be charged the following tuition and fees:

  • 50% Off Tuition
  • Campus Fees, Class Pass, and Health Insurance are all included.
  • If applicable, 50% of Non-Resident Supplemental Tuition

Limits on enrollment: Qualified undergraduate students may enrol in two or fewer courses per semester or the equivalent as established by their institution. Graduate students who have been approved may enrol in one-half or less of the standard course load specified in Academic Senate Rule 702.

Students must acquire DSP approval and lower their courseload before the conclusion of the self-service add/drop session to be in compliance.

Students should check with the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office because their aid package may be lowered as a result of reduced enrollment and fees.
