Early Life
Suryakumar Yadav was born in Mumbai and always had a passion for sports. He developed a keenness for cricket and badminton. Watching his strong fervour especially in cricket, his father- Ashok Kumar Yadav wanted him to make a successful career in it. Suryankumar Yadav learned cricket like every other Indian kid playing with his friends and then went on to participate in his school cricket team. He went on to complete his Bachelors in Commerce from Pillai College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Mumbai.

Entering the Cricket field
Suryakumar Yadav is a right-handed Batsman who played his first-class debut against Delhi in the 2010-11 Ranji season. He had a kickstart career and was the lone player to score a fifty in Mumbai’s first innings. Despite his frequent strong performances in matches, he was often overlooked. This didn’t stop him from working hard on himself and he always followed his senior’s instructions. His hard work gained him a spot and he became a regular member and has scored well in every season.
His record impressed the IPL contractors from the Mumbai Indians team in 2011. He then played excellently well in a few IPL matches for MI in the IPL until 2013. In an auction that took place, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) chose Suryakumar Yadav as their young and promising talent.
He proved their choice to be a good one and won many hearts by breaking the headlines in IPL 2015. He hit five sixes – against Mumbai Indians and made a match-winning 20-ball 46. This surprised other team players and also overshadowed Rohit Sharma’s classy 98 at the Eden Gardens.

Even though Surya Kumar Yadav scored excellently well in every IPL match, he didn’t get a chance in the Indian team for the Australia tour. Despite the increased pressure, he proved his elegant batsman qualities in his two outings against England in the series. He smashed his maiden half-century and displayed a match-changing performance. He earned the position owned by the greatest limited-overs batsman in cricket’s history.
