Turkey uses the Turkish Lira (TRY) as its currency. Following are the average costs of study in Turkey: 

• Public University – You should expect to pay on an average TRY 1,600  – TRY 9,000 per year (INR 13,851- INR 77,949)
• Private University – They are comparatively more expensive and have their tuition range, on an average up to TRY 110,000 per year (INR 9,52,569.71)
• The bigger cities will be more expensive than the smaller cities and towns. On average, you should have a budget between TRY 2,000 – TRY 2,700 per month for accommodation, groceries, and travel (INR 17,321 to 23,384)
• For books and potential administrative fees, you should budget between TRY 500 – TRY 800 per semester (INR 4,330 to INR 6,928)
• Another is health insurance, get yourself registered with the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK), or ensure you have a valid health insurance policy for the duration of your studies. For further queries, contact your institution 

Student Visas & Permits

If you want to study in Turkey, you will need a visa. Generally following are the documents you would need to present to get a Turkish student visa: 

• A valid passport
• A completed application form
• Two passport-sized photos
• Letter of acceptance

• Receipt of the visa processing fee
