UEA INTO Courses
UEA also offers uniquely designed INTO courses which are specialised degree and pathway programs specifically curated for international students. The INTO courses, taught in the INTO building located on UEA campus itself, are available in the following fields of study:

Along with these, you can choose International Year One (earlier referred to as International Diploma) as well as International Graduate Diploma from UEA INTO courses. The university is also well-known for its Newton A-level program and a multitude of English language programs. Students pursuing INTO courses can use UEA campus and facilities from day one itself. On successfully completing these INTO courses, students are transferred to UEA degree courses.
Eligibility Criteria & Application Process
Once you have finalized your course at UEA, you must go through the eligibility requirements for the program and start gathering the application essentials. Here are the basic eligibility criteria you need to fulfil while applying to a course at UEA:
- For bachelor’s level courses, formal schooling of 10+2 from a recognized institution
- For master’s level courses, a bachelor’s degree in the same or relevant field
- A good score in language proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, UEA/INTO PSE (Pre-Sessional English), Class 12th English, GRE and Duolingo.
Note: The above-mentioned requirements elucidate the basic eligibility criteria of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. Thus, students are advised to go through the eligibility requirements of their selected program at the university’s official website.
Now, let’s understand the application process to apply for a program at the university. You need to follow the following pointers to send your application successfully to UEA.
- Collect all the important admission documents such as a copy of your passport, the scorecard of IELTS/TOEFL, and LOR along with your academic transcripts.
- You will be required to present an SOP in which you must mention your academic achievements and qualifications along with elaborating upon why you have chosen a certain course to study at UEA.
- For undergraduate courses, candidates have to apply through the UCAS website. Sign up at the website and fill the application form selecting UEA from the list of universities, along with your desired course. For postgraduate courses, applicants can directly apply through the university website.
- Once you have an offer to study at UEA, you need to wait for your CAS letter, which will be sent to you 3 months prior to the starting date of your course, after which you can begin your application for the student visa.
- After receiving an offer from UEA, you must also apply for on-campus accommodation, which is only provided for those opting for full-time courses. For undergraduate students, the university guarantees accommodation for the first year after which students usually prefer off-campus accommodation.
- For postgraduate students, accommodation is guaranteed once they pay their deposit amount, fulfil all the criteria as well as accept their offer. Furthermore, UEA’s accommodation guarantee is only for a room (not of a specific type or single room) in the university residences or in accommodations that are either managed by the university itself or any of its partnered institutions. Candidates must log in to the portal to choose accommodation.
