The first on the list of Stanford university notable alumni is Tiger Woods. He is considered to be one of the most successful golfers and currently the No.1 golfer in the whole world. He became a professional at the age of 21 and won his first tournament the next year. Soon he dominated world golf and reached the No.1 position within the world rankings. In just two years at Stanford, Tiger won a Stanford record-tying 11 tournaments, including an improbable 8 wins in 13 starts in 1996. In 1996, he was the NCAA individual champion and was even named Jack Nicklaus national player of the year.

Mukesh Ambani, being an Indian business tycoon and the chairman of ‘Reliance Industries Limited’, comes among the richest people in the world. Ambani enrolled for an MBA at Stanford but withdrew in 1980 to assist his father build Reliance, which at the time was still a little but fast-growing enterprise. Sundar Pichai is a computer engineer and the current CEO of Google Inc. Google, which focuses on Internet-related services and products, underwent corporate restructuring in 2015 following which Alphabet Inc was launched as its parent company with co-founders Larry Page as its CEO and Sergey Brin as President. Peter Andreas Thiel is an American entrepreneur and author. He co-founded PayPal and remained its CEO till eBay acquired the corporation. Sally Ride was an American physicist and astronaut who achieved iconic status by becoming the primary American woman to visit space.
