Shawn Mendes (Shawn Peter Raul Mendes) was born on August 8, 1998, in Ontario. He also has a younger sister, Aaliyah. Shawn Mendes completed his graduation from Pine Ridge secondary school in June 2016. There he played soccer, ice hockey, and practised acting lessons. He was keen on music and learning guitar from a very young age.
Mendes performed at his school and kept on making progress with his skills. He made small videos of him playing guitar and singing. Unsure of the results, he posted them on an app called Vines. He continued doing that for almost a year before finally receiving some attention. That’s what he did exactly along with his graduation days.
