Prelims Exam Pattern
There will be three sections in the RBI Assistant Syllabus for Prelims which further constitute 100 questions in total.
- For every correct answer, 1 mark will be allotted to the students whereas for every wrong answer there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
- Except for the English section, candidates can choose the medium of paper amongst Hindi and English Language. The total duration of the exam is 1 hour.

RBI Assistant Mains Pattern
It comprises of a total of 5 sections in the exam spread across 200 questions.
- Similar to the prelims examination, the negative marking of 0.25 is there for every incorrect answer and 1 mark is given for every correct answer.
- Students can choose to attempt the paper in Hindi or in English, except for the English Section.
- All the questions will be of objective in nature and the duration of the exam is 135 minutes.
